HomeKeeper Integrations & Extensions: Tools to Enhance Your Programs
Table of Contents
This article reviews common HomeKeeper app integrations and extensions that enhance Homeownership and Housing Counseling features. Some of these are free, while others are paid. While we'll do our best to compile the latest pricing information, it's best to contact each vendor directly.
Below you'll find information on common ways our users have extended and expanded their HomeKeeper, but these are just a few of the possibilities! If you have a need that isn't listed here, please feel free to contact us at support@myhomekeeper.org, and we can help connect you with resources, provide feedback, and point you in the right direction.
Online Applications & Portals
Many homeownership programs still rely on paper forms, PDFs, or disconnected intake processes that slow everything down. Integrated online applications and client portals capture applicant information once and flow it directly into HomeKeeper and reporting tools—eliminating manual data entry. The result is faster intakes, cleaner data, and more time for staff to focus on supporting homeowners instead of managing paperwork.
There are many online form and portal solutions that integrate with Salesforce. To help you navigate the options, we’ve compiled information and pricing for HomeKeeper-tested tools you can confidently explore.
HomeKeeper Online Application Template
The Online Application Template is an add-on feature for HomeKeeper. This screen flow template allows you to host a public form that is built into HomeKeeper and directly populates HomeKeeper records, including the Service File, Application Household Members, Contact records, and financials. Out of the box, the template is simple and includes our time getting the basic version set up.
Pricing Information
- $1,000 Set Up
- $0 Yearly Fee
Additional customizations, including adding additional fields or application pages, creating more complex email templates, and further customizing your Experience Site page, can be done internally or with a HomeKeeper Alliance Partner. Our developer partner, DaizyLogik, can provide customizations at a fixed rate (link to customization package information). You can add fields and text, and adjust the appearance of the site page where it is hosted.

Public House
One of our original Alliance Partners (formerly known as Electric Baby) has supported the Shared Equity and general affordable housing fields with a variety of tools. The most prominent is Public House, an end-to-end, complete Homeownership and Rental Application management tool.
Pricing Information
- $3,000 Setup Fee
- $5,000 Annual Fee
In addition to application information collection, Public House helps manage wait lists, lotteries, retrieve documents, and manage annual recertification processes. It's used by Shared Equity housing providers, Habitat for Humanity organizations, City and county government housing authorities, and Multi-family property managers that oversee affordable rental units, all directly integrated with HomeKeeper.
Rooted App
Our newest Alliance Partner, ProjectOwn, has focused on building tools for Black wealth creation. Billed as a mortgage readiness tool, the Rooted App is a financial coaching tool centered around pulling a credit report and connecting prospective homebuyers with financial coaches. This functionality complements HomeKeeper well and we've worked to integrate the platforms to ensure the homebuyer readiness work can be reported to HUD for Housing Counseling.

Form Assembly
One of the more robust Form creation tools fully integrated with Salesforce, FormAssembly has been a mainstay recommendation due to its comprehensive knowledge base, simple to build forms and easy to learn Salesforce connector. Many “accidental admins” have been able to author simple and complex forms that drive data entry from external sources as well as internal tools that extend Salesforce's functionality. As a partner, HomeKeeper also provides templates that organizations can get started with for Homeownership or Housing Counseling intake applications.
Pricing Information
- Pricing varies based on plan and needs. Contact the vendor for details.
Other Form Tools
You can find more integrated form tools (like FormAssembly) on Salesforce's App Exchange - far too many to list here. Some are external to Salesforce, while others utilize Experience Sites and Flow, which are native to Salesforce. Reach out to support@myhomekeeper.org to inquire about options and user testimonials.
Alternatively, you can work with a Salesforce Partner or our Alliance Partners to build something custom.
- For Non-Profit Cloud users, you can explore the Discovery Framework or Dynamic Assessments, and publishing using OmniStudio.
- For Non-Profit Success Pack users, it's best to start from our Online Application Template and customize from there.
Credit Reporting
For organizations that evaluate homebuyer readiness, credit report reviews are a must. HomeKeeper has explored several options to increase the efficiency of this process, using tools that not only request credit reports but also structure data in Salesforce, enabling analysis and reporting.
Cloud Maven Credit Checker
One of our more robust Alliance Partner Add-ons, Cloud Maven's Credit Checker brings credit report management directly into your Salesforce and HomeKeeper instance. In addition to providing the PDF report, their application structures the credit report into reportable tradelines and credit history, allowing simple calculations of total debt payments, debt amounts, and credit scores. Cloud Maven has also standardized the data syncing with HomeKeeper, directly linking their data structure to HomeKeeper's Service File and Debt records. While Cloud Maven has you work directly with a single credit provider, they also pass along wholesale rates, which typically represent significant cost savings.

Project Own also lets you work directly with a single credit provider, passing along wholesale rates that typically represent significant cost savings.

Laser Credit
A non-affiliated credit report provider on the Salesforce platform, Laser Credit is billed as an all-inclusive tool for credit and loan decisions. Unlike Credit Checker, they can work with any credit provider under the MeridianLink umbrella, which you have to contract with separately. As they are non-affiliated, there is no built-in integration into HomeKeeper, but Laser Credit can work alongside it.
Pricing Information
- $199/Company/Month
Document Upload
Another popular extension is document upload solutions. These let your clients and applicants upload their documents directly to their Service File in HomeKeeper. We've listed two of our most popular options below, but there are many more to explore.
HomeKeeper File Upload
The File Upload tool is a new functionality developed alongside the HomeKeeper Online Application Template.
Unlike the Application Templates, the file upload feature is free and included in the HomeKeeper package. This includes a unique “Upload Link” for each Client Service File, allowing the clients to upload documents that get attached directly to the Service File in the Files section.
NOTE: While this feature is free, it does require configuration by your Administrator. Please contact support@myhomekeeper.org for detailed instructions on setting up this feature.
Pricing Information:
- Free - Included with HomeKeeper
FormAssembly File Upload
FormAssembly can be used in the same manner to create a unique “Upload Link” for each Client Service File, allowing clients to upload documents that are attached directly to the Service File in the Files section. Check out the linked article on steps to set up this form if you already have a FormAssembly subscription.

Cloud Maven Secure File Transport
Another application in Cloud Maven's suite of products, this one is designed to extend Salesforce functionality to document collection.

Other Document Upload Tools
Depending on how you manage documents in your technical environment, you may already have a secure place to store client files outside of Salesforce. There's an argument against Salesforce Files - it's difficult to download more than one file at a time, it's impossible to migrate documents, the previews leave much to be desired, and there are storage limits. The argument for it is that it's already directly embedded in Salesforce, is included, and takes time before organizations get close to the storage limits. If Salesforce Files doesn't work for you, consider exploring these alternative document tools.
Payment Processing
For organizations that need to track payments from clients and Homebuyers, there are a variety of apps and integrations available that work seamlessly with Salesforce.
Cloud Maven Payment Guru
Yet another product, this one centered around leveraging several payment processors for payment processing within Salesforce and integrations with some accounting software.
Pricing Information:
- Starts at $2400 annually plus transaction fees. Contact the vendor for details.
FormAssembly
Form tools like Form Assembly have connectors with payment processors to collect payments using their forms. This links to the article review payment processing with Form Assembly.
Pricing Information
- Check with the vendor for subscription and implementation pricing
Other Payment Processing Tools
The tools typically start with establishing a relationship with a payment processor, then connecting to a third-party application that handles the customer and staff interaction with the payment correspondence. You can find alternatives to the above solutions on the AppExchange.
E-signature & Custom Document Merging
Using an e-signature or document merging app, data entered in Salesforce and HomeKeeper can be automatically pulled into formatted documents and sent to clients and partners for review and signature.
Docusign
One of the most popular E-signature solutions. This has a Salesforce integration to connect signed documents to Salesforce records. It comes with limited field merging capability and is commonly paired with a merge solution.
Pricing Information
- Pricing varies based on plan and needs. Check with the vendor for details.
Conga Sign
Another popular E-signature solution that typically comes after purchasing Conga Merge, which allows more robust merge capabilities to create tailored emails, documents, etc. Is buggy and sometimes folks use Docusign instead.
Pricing Information
- Pricing varies based on plan and needs. Check with the vendor for details.
Apsona
This is more of a reporting and transformation software that also comes with robust document merge capabilities as an add-on. Listing this here as it is best equipped to handle large volumes of merges - creating 1000+ letters to mail, or email. Other solutions have issues with batch sizes. This does not come with E-signature.

FormAssembly
Form tools like FormAssembly have special add-ons and functionality to capture E-signatures with any form.

Appointment Scheduling
For organizations that need to track and see appointments in HomeKeeper, there are a variety of scheduling apps that integrate with Salesforce for easy scheduling and follow-up.
Sumo Scheduler
While our team does not have direct experience with this app, some partners have leveraged its integration with Salesforce to handle appointment scheduling

Calendly
We have not seen this in practice with their Salesforce integration, but we do use this platform to schedule meetings. It has a seamless integration with Outlook calendars and is very simple to use for individual and team calendars as well as meeting polls.

Workflow Automation
Automation tools like Flow Toolkit and DLRS (Declarative Lookup Rollup Summaries) extend Salesforce’s native automation capabilities, making it easier to automate, enhance flows, and streamline processes.

Declarative Lookup Rollup Summaries (DLRS)

Other Salesforce Commons Apps
The Salesforce Commons is a group of volunteers that get together and build free apps for the non-profit and education community. For example, the Non Profit Starter Pack began as a commons project. Once complete, they get posted to Salesforce's Metadeploy Site alongside Salesforce's apps for non-profits. These are a few that have been released:
