We held a Release Webinar on August 20th, providing a live demo of the Applicant Info feature and reviewing context around each of the features listed below that are released as part of HomeKeeper v2.13 and HUD Connect v1.11. Click here to download and watch the recording!

Prior to upgrading to HUD Connect version 1.11, you must also upgrade HomeKeeper to version 2.13. 

Updates to HUD Connect:

• We have updated 9902 reports and submissions to include Gender, as it is a field required by HUD. When submitting your 9902 XMLs, you should see Gender included where it has been added for a client and is also reflected on the Service File, Primary Applicant Gender.
  We have updated 9902 reports and submissions to include Agency UEI in HUD Agency submissions.

Technical changes and bug fixes:

• We identified an issue with counting purpose of visits when populating the 9902. HUD Connect will no longer count the Purpose of Visit for Group Education C/Es - even if it's set on the CE.
• We identified a bug where HUD Connect was referencing the incorrect Agency ID, and have fixed it.
• HUD has officially changed submission URLs for ARM 6, and so we have updated our submission URL to reflect that.

How to upgrade your HUD Connect to version 1.11

While logged into Salesforce where your HUD Connect app is installed, click this link to upgrade to version 1.11 of HUD Connect.

(Note: If you are installing into a sandbox organization, replace https://login.salesforce.com/ with http://test.salesforce.com)

This version of HUD Connect corrected the newly added Presubmission Client Report in version 1.10, which was showing incorrect records for Client submission data to HUD due to a filtering error.

If you are a HUD Connect user and you are upgrading to HomeKeeper version 2.11, you must also upgrade HUD Connect to version 1.10.

1. Presubmission Log Reports have been added, with direct links in the HUD 9902 Submission Tab, to allow users to generate and download reports with complete information on what they will be submitting to HUD. This will allow for more efficient record keeping and trouble shooting. 

Clicking the link shown above will take you to a version of the packaged HUD FY 9902 Control Report, with filters specific to this reporting period, as shown below.

2. In order to help prevent incomplete or duplicate submissions, this version of HUD Connect disables the submission buttons until the refresh is complete.

3. We have vastly improved system feedback, updating multiple error messages to provide clearer and more direct information around what went wrong:

• Updated the existing HUD Connect login error message to be more user friendly, and it now includes a hyperlink to take users directly to their login settings to update.
• Updated error message to clearly inform users when they are selecting a year value that does not match their agency settings year value.
• Updated error message to clearly inform users when they are submitting data to a pilot org.

4. We've added a new field called Status Description to clarify what a submissions current status means. This field is visible in the Submission Log, and on each specific Submission record.

This version of HUD Connect corrected the real ("Production") URL address to communicate with HUD's Housing Counseling System website (HCS). Prior development had tested this, but it was found that testing was not successful since HomeKeeper is not a HUD agency with a real HCS login to HUD's Production server.

After packaging 1.9.1, a "push" upgrade of version 1.9.1 was provided to all users of HUD Connect who had already had version 1.9 installed as part of the HUD FY22 updates.

Version 1.9.1 will be installed going forward.
